Applesauce cookies

 

1 cups unsweetened applesauce

1 cups sugar

½ cup shortening

1 egg

1 cup raisins or dates

1 cup nuts

2 cups flour

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

¾ teaspoon cloves

1 teaspoon cinnamon

 

Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake in 375 degrees oven.
