Gingerbread Men

Oven 350 degrees.

Blend until creamy:

¼ cup butter

½ cup sugar (white or brown)

 Beat in: ½ cup dark molasses

Sift: 3 ½ cups of flour

Resift with: 1-teaspoon baking soda. ¼ teaspoon cloves, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon salt.  Add sifted ingredients to butter mixture in about 3 parts, alternately. Add ¼ cup water if rolling dough.  Decorate with raisins and bake about minutes.  When cool, decorate with ¼ cup powdered sugar and a few drops of water frosting.
