Mince Meat Cookies

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup butter or lard

2 cups mincemeat

3 ¼ to 4 cups flour, sifted

2 eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ cup slightly sour milk

 

Mix and drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet.  Bake in moderate oven for about 12-15 minutes.
